Woodworking has been part of my life ever since I was a child. My dad was a cabinet maker before later becoming a home builder, so growing up I was exposed to every stage of residential construction. That early experience gave me an appreciation for quality craftsmanship that has stayed with me throughout my life.
After high school, I earned a degree in Computer Science and spent my career as a software engineer. Although technology became my profession, woodworking remained my passion. In 2018, I built my first dedicated workshop and began replacing the hand-me-down tools my dad had given me with quality equipment of my own. After moving to Central Arkansas, I was able to expand into a much larger shop, giving me the space to take on more ambitious projects.
In 2022, I built my own CNC machine (pictured in the background), opening the door to a new level of precision and creativity. Today I combine traditional woodworking skills with modern design tools and technology, creating detailed 3D models before construction begins so clients can see exactly what their finished project will look like.
Most of my early projects were built simply for the enjoyment of creating something with my hands. After retiring from my career in technology, I finally had the opportunity to turn that lifelong passion into 64bit Woodworking & Crafts. My first retirement project was designing, building, and installing a complete set of custom cabinets for a friend. It reminded me just how rewarding it is to transform an idea into something that will be used and appreciated every day.
